Following the mysterious and gruesome death of a close mutual friend, a group of avid gamers led by Hutch obtains an unreleased underground survival horror video game titled "Stay Alive," based on the grim legend of the Blood Countess Elizabeth Báthory. As they dive deeper into the dark, immersive multiplayer game, they soon realize that each time someone's in-game avatar perishes, that player dies in the real world in the exact same horrifying manner. With reality and the digital realm collapsing into each other, the surviving friends must beat the cursed game before the sinister countess claims all their lives.
